An Era Concluded

Never in my life would I think the first of my lasts would be done. I just had my last Florida State Football game as a Student of Florida State University. It was a bitter sweet feeling and experience, but also one I never thought would come. The Noles luckily clenched the win 42-10 and are now eligible for a bowl game!

The presentations that have occurred in my Writing, Editing, Print, and Online class have taught me a lot about circulation of texts in many different ways, some of which will be beneficial in any upcoming projects I have to complete. The presentations were based on an organization, and three texts, one being a print text. Each group was in charge of contacting an organization and deciding what three texts would be the most beneficial to circulate for the organization. It was intriguing to see how each group circulated, created, and presented the texts and material.

One group that specifically stuck out to me was the group the presented on the Women's Voter organization. They endured the toughest time with constraints, but did their best to circulate and engage with the organization. I was specifically impressed by the consistency throughout their presentation and within their texts. They used the same color, images, and design of their content within their texts. This specific group faced the most constraints within their project. They were working with people in their chosen organization that were not particularly familiar with today's technology, and had a hard time getting immediate responses regarding their project. However, they made the most of what they could and gave a very thorough presentation.

If I learned one thing from the other presentations, it would have been to distribute my texts other places, and potentially use a different text in order to reach a larger audience. All in this project was successful and so was my time as an FSU football fan and student. Although my time at Florida State is quickly coming to an end, I will always be a Seminole at heart and cheer through the good and the bad of our football seasons.
